The Three Goddesses

In the beginning, there was nothing but three goddesses. Their names were Marissa, Melissa, and Larissa. There was no land of any kind, just darkness and the spirit world. The goddesses could only look after the spirits of long ago. So, one day, Flimien (flea-me-in), the first spirit ever to be in the spirit world, told Marissa to take her longest piece of silk and hang it in the sky. She did as he told her to and named the land she made Earth.

The other goddesses were so upset by Flimien not choosing them to do so, that they cried so much that it rained upon the Earth. The rain nourished the ground, and plants sprung up everywhere. It also created rivers, lakes, and oceans. When the goddesses saw what they had done, they thought that all of the gods would be angry, so they gave up their powers and hid on the Earth.

The spirit gods told Marissa that they weren't angered, but they could not go down to Earth to tell Melissa and Larissa. So, Marissa started going down to Earth to tell her sisters, but she realized that she would have to be a mortal to leave her place in the sky. She instead, sent a message down to her sisters, telling them to come back because it was alright. Larissa happened to be standing in just the right place, at just the right time, and the message fell from the sky and hit her head. She read it and sadly called her sister with a tone that would make even the toughest god cry. Melissa read it and - also sadly - told her sister that they should send Marissa a message back. So, they wrote what they wanted to say on a tablet they had made from clay. Melissa took the tablet and threw it back up to Marissa, who read it aloud to the spirit gods. The message said that they couldn't come back to the realm above, and all because they had given up their godly abilities. After she read it, Marissa wept, and the tears made rain upon the Earth.

The Earth was flooded, and the plant life, mud, and tears combined, and when the Earth dried, there were animals everywhere. Melissa and Larissa were surprised to see all of the interesting creatures, and named every single one (according to their type). The animals all liked what they were now called, all except for bears, lions, sharks, and some extras. They are even still known for their aggressiveness, and it's all because of what they are called.

Even though Marissa's now mortal sisters weren't with her any more, she never gave up on them. It was even her who created the first man. She took the last spirit to have gone to the spirit world, and used the last bit of power he had (before it was gone forever) and combined it with her own, to bring him back to life as a mortal. He was put on Earth to provide company for Larissa and Melissa. Larissa was so grateful to her sister for still caring for her, that she named her first daughter Marissa.

After many, many years, Marissa (the goddess) was peacefully in the spirit world, too. The god who was now in control was Leo. He decided that there should be a spirit world for mortals, too, so they would be able to live on in end. Though, after a while, the two spirit worlds were getting cramped. Leo wasn't sure what to do, but he finally decided that every time a person - or god - died, the spirit worlds should expand. So, he put a charm on them so they would do just that.

The world is still flourishing, people and gods are still going to the spirit worlds, and gods keep changing. The universe will always be expanding with the spirit worlds, and it's all because of The Three Goddesses.
